Welcome to Summit’s “Drive In” Service!

During these days of the Coronavirus God’s church is having to be creative in how we worship together on the Lord’s Day. Summit has decided to still meet on Sunday mornings. Summit will also abide by what our government leaders and medical experts have requested by following “social distancing”. And so in order to still meet together and in turn follow the directives set forth Summit has chosen to conduct a “Drive In” worship service on Sunday mornings. You are simply asked to park your vehicle in our parking lot and then remain there in your vehicle. Summit has placed a public address system in the parking lot and at 10:00 the service will begin. We will worship through prayer, through song, through our giving, and through the preaching of the word of God. During this time let us continue to pray for our government leaders along with the medical professionals who are working so very hard to protect us. Let us also pray for those who have contracted the Coronavirus and for those families that have seen loved ones die with the virus. Also during this time, until further notice, Summit will postpone its Sunday evening service. May Summit continue to be a light and show the love of God to all.

Summit's Member's Meeting

Summit will conduct it's monthly member's meeting next Sunday, May 17th, following our morning worship service. Our meeting will be held in our facility beginning at 11:30.

Church Membership

Scripture states that Christians should be a part, or member, of a local church (1st Corinthians 12:12). And just as the human body needs all of its members to perform at maximum performance so does every local church. Please see Pastor Dave if you would like to join the membership of Summit Baptist Church. Summit observes the following requirements for church membership.

·        Faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord

·        Baptism by immersion

·        Completed the Summit Baptist Church “New Membership Class”

“For the body does not consist of one member but of many.”

1 Corinthians 12:14

Operation Christmas Child

The 2020 Operation Christmas Child collection is now under way! And Summit is once again set to send hundreds of shoebox gifts to children all over the world at Christmas time. Each shoebox contains gifts along with the Good News of Jesus, the Gospel message. Last year Summit sent 836 shoeboxes all over the world which means 836 children as well as 836 families received the Gospel! In 2020 we are praying that God will send out even more shoebox gifts from Summit, however at this time during the concern of the Coronavirus you are asked to please hold any items that you have recently purchased and when the concerns of spreading the virus have lessened then at that time Summit will receive your OCC gifts. As a reminder the 2020 list of items that Summit is now collecting is out and is available. You can find a copy of the list on the Operation Christmas Child link on Summit's website. Remember that all of the items purchased and placed in the shoeboxes must be brand new, cannot be war related and cannot be liquid. Also please purchase only those items that are on Summit’s list. Thanks for giving to OCC and thanks for having such a great desire to see the Gospel shared throughout the world!

Praying for needs

Summit has a need for people to serve in the following ministries. As a note those who serve in the capacities listed must be members of Summit. Please see Pastor Dave if God directs you to serve.
