Summit began working with the Operation Christmas Child ministry back in 2003. Meagan Carns served as Summit's first OCC coordinator. At the time Meagan was 13 years old. That first year the church gave around 5 boxes. (The count was not kept that first year but it appears in the picture below that 5 boxes were at the dedication!) Over the years Summit has dramatically increased its giving and since the year 2003 Summit has given approximately 3,164 shoe boxes through the Operation Christmas Child ministry. That means that at least 3,164 children around the world have heard the Good News that Jesus saves. That also means that at least 3,164 families have heard as well! Summit is a mission minded church and it is our heart's desire to see the lost saved. We thank God for this wonderful ministry that gives us this opportunity to take the gospel all over the world.
