As Pastor of Summit Baptist Church I would like to invite you to join Summit this Sunday for our "Drive In" worship service. Due to the Coronavirus and the request of our government leaders and medical experts Summit is abiding by the recommendation to exercise social distancing. So in order to accommodate this request and to still meet for worship Summit will conduct our morning worship service in the parking lot of our meeting facility which is located at 2121 N. Highway 90 in Whetstone. As you drive in to the parking lot on Sunday morning you are simply asked to please remain in your vehicle and starting at 10:00 our service will begin. A public address system will be set up so that you will be able to hear all that is taking place. This is a creative way to continue to worship together and also to continue to meet the request of our government leaders and medical experts during this very serious time in the history of our nation and the world. May we continue to pray for our leaders in government and those in the medical field as they continue to work diligently to protect us and to find a solution to this virus. Also may we as God's church continue to pray for those who have contracted the Coronavirus and for the families who have lost loved ones as well. As God's church we are to love God and to love our neighbors, so may we be there for others and do all we can to protect one another. Our evening service will not take place this Sunday. Hopefully we will be able to establish our 5:00 service again very soon and we will re-evaluate on a weekly basis when we believe it is feasible to bring back the evening worship service. I look forward to seeing you on Sunday morning and may God bless you.
